Buddies

Our friends...Nate & Sofi

Zoo Atlanta

Today we went to the zoo with some really good friends of ours...Teri, Sofi, and Nate. The boys had not seen their friend in a long time, so it was good for them to have some time together. We saw all the animals but the boys seemed most impressed with the reptile exibit of snakes, lizzards, eels, iguanas, snapping turtles, etc. It was so...well...boy! When we went to the gorilla exibit, there were 3 babies and two of them were fighting over a dead branch. The mom jumped up on the rock and calmly took away the branch & jumped back down with it to solve the argument. My friend Teri & I looked at each other & said, "Some things are the same." I feel like I'm always solving a dispute around here. I think I could learn something from the gorilla....just take the branch calmly away & walk off & go to another "place."

Washington Farms Pumpkin Patch

Two weeks ago, we took a trip to a nearby pumkin patch, Washington Farms. The farm had hayrides, a cow train, and a corn maize. The boys were really excited to go and we ended up having fun even though we had some "National Lampoon's vacation" moments. The boys got a pumpkin, went on a hayride, and did part of the corn maize.

Andrew out for the count!

When the boys got home from school today, we gave them a Webkin that is a bat. It is a Halloween webkin and it was a huge hit! They got to decorate their pet's room on the computer with haunted house stuff. I gave them a clue each morning to what the suprise was and I think they had almost figured it out by Friday. As you can see, they passed out after an exciting day :)

William after a hard week at school

Isn't he cute!? This is a nice part of the day...seeing them asleep. It makes your hard day worth it!

Visit with cousin Michelle

On the way home from the birth of Evelyn Grace, we stopped by Granny B's house to visit everyone. The boys got to spend time with their cousin Michelle and they had so much fun playing with her. Andrew is especially sweet with her and said to her, "Aren't you glad I came to see you?" He is really gentle with her and loves her. William does too but he got a little upset when she tore down his "Zoo" he made with blocks. He has his way of doing things & you better not deviate from that or ELSE!

Day on the Lake

After the baby was born, the boys got to spend the night at Grandpa's lake house. They had a lot of fun fishing (no hooks!) and catching frogs & lizzards. It was a very nice day there and very pretty weather.

The Boys with their new cousin

The boys got to see their new cousin the next day and had a great time seeing her and playing at Uncle Randy's house.

Evelyn Grace Quinn...my niece was born!!

On September 25th, I got a phone call from my dad saying that my sister-in-law's water was being broken and the baby was on her way. So, I frantically packed up myself & the boys within about an hour or two and checked them out of school & sped to Birmingham. It was all worth it because I was there when she was born. She was 7 pounds 3 oz. and absolutely beautiful. There is nothing like holding a newborn baby in your arms. It is the best feeling in the world. I was so glad I was there!
