A start of a new era
The past month marked some significant milestones for our family. The boys began kindergarten...boy time flies. Andrew has lost two teeth and is so cute with his "sylvester" accent. They are adjusting well to the new elementary school and seem to enjoy it. By then end of the week though, they are exhausted and need some rest. They usually do a good bit of arguing on the weekend. Also, they have already decided what to be on Halloween and we have already gotten costumes. Andrew is Bobo Fett (from Star Wars) and William is none other than Darth Vader. Hopefully, the costumes will make it until October 31st. They are wearing them every day and even to the grocery store. It must be the coolest thing to a little boy to be dressed like a Star Wars character.
While my new found freedom is nice, I realize that they are growing up so fast and it makes me sad to let go a little. It seems just like yesterday that I was trying to feed them both bottles at the same time...I got pretty good at that. On another topic, can you believe kindergarten gives homework?? I would expect to work on some things, but you wouldn't believe what they are learning....I have flash cards for words now, simple math problems, and now a website to keep up with other math projects as well as writing their letters every night. What happened to finger painting and playdough?
I decided to try to see if I can blog some for those friends & family who I need to keep up with and this seems like a good way. Hopefully, I will be able to keep it up between me working and all the homework!
